London and its sights Hyde Park Jogging, riding, boating, playing cricket or having picnic. You can do all these things right in the centre of the city. There is beautiful big lake for boating too. Tower of London It was castle in which kings once lived, prison in which famous people were killed and place where arms were kept. Today it is museum. Tower Bridge This bridge is close to the Tower of London. Parts of the bridge can be raised so that big ships can pass through. Buckingham Palace The Royal Family lives in there and 400 people work in this famous palace with its more than 600 rooms. Madame Tussauds Big Ben London Eye Picadilly Circus More than two million people year visit this famous place. There are wax models of film stars, sportsmen, politicians, writers, kings and queens. It is the famous bell in the clock tower of the Houses of Parliament. It is the largest observation wheel in the world and stands 443 feet high on the south bank of the River Thames. It was formerly crowded by traffic. Today it is part of pedestrian mall with new shops, galleries and restaurants. In the centre of the area is fountain with the statue of Eros.
